Here at Valentine Retrievers and Doodles, we pride ourselves on not only breeding healthy puppies but helping educate owners on how to raise and care for puppies.

  12. puppy shampoo

THINGS TO DO

  1. Research all the information on the breed (temperament, care, size, exercise needed) 

  2. Find a good Veterinarian 

  3. Schedule next puppy vaccinations 

  4. Research pet insurance- we recommend trupanion 

  5. Learn about socialization 


VACCINE SCHEDULE:

 

6-8 WEEKS:

  • 1st full physical examination (evaluate general health, heart and lung development)

  • 1st DA2PPCV vaccination Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and
    Coronavirus

  • Fecal analysis for parasites

  • Deworming (if required)


10-12 WEEKS:

  • 2nd full physical examination (evaluate general health, heart and lung development)

  • 2nd DA2PPCV vaccination Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus.

  • 1st Leptospirosis vaccination

  • Fecal analysis for parasites (if required)

  • Deworming (if required)


14-16 WEEKS:

  • 3rd DA2PPCV vaccination Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Coronavirus.

  • 2nd Leptospirosis vaccination

  • Bordetella Vaccination

  • Rabies vaccination

  • Possible microchip

  • Deworming


12 MONTHS:

  • Spay or Neuter 

  • Annual Adult Vaccination

  • After the third booster your pet will not be due for another vaccination until a year later.

  • It is recommended to have your dog vaccinated on an annual basis as well as a fecal analysis for intestinal parasites.
